Terms
These are the terms you agree to when you buy Voxy. They are written to be read, not to be got through. If anything here is unclear, email us and ask before you buy.
In short: Voxy is free up to 2,000 words a week, so you can try the whole app before paying. One payment buys it for life on two machines. Because you can try it first, purchases are final.
Who you are buying from
Voxy is made and sold by True Design, a business registered in Ireland. You can reach us at info@voxyapp.org, and we answer.
The free plan
Voxy is free to use every week, up to 2,000 dictated words. There is no time limit, no account and no card. Every feature is in the free plan.
This is not a trial that runs out. It is how Voxy works if you never pay us anything.
What one payment buys
- No weekly word limit.
- Two machines at a time. You can move a machine to a different one whenever you like, from Voxy's licence settings.
- macOS and Windows. The Windows build is on the way and costs you nothing extra.
- Every future update, for life. Not just the next one. There is no subscription and nothing to renew.
The licence is for you. Please do not sell it, share it, or publish the key. Doing that can get a licence revoked.
Copyright and reverse engineering
Voxy is protected by copyright, owned by True Design. You are given a licence to use it, not ownership of it. This applies to the free plan and to a paid licence alike.
Reverse engineering Voxy is not permitted. You must not decompile, disassemble, modify or copy the app's code. Doing so is a breach of these terms and an infringement of our copyright.
The only exceptions are the narrow rights the law gives you that a contract cannot remove, such as the limited right under EU law to make software work with other software.
Price
Voxy costs €149. While it is in early access the price is €99. If you buy at €99 you keep everything, including the Windows build, when the price goes up.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card. Any tax due is shown and collected at checkout.
Refunds
Voxy is free to use every week, up to 2,000 words, with no time limit and no card required. Please use the free plan to confirm Voxy runs well on your machine, and check the requirements, before you buy.
Because you can try the full app first, and because a licence key is delivered to you immediately, purchases are final and we do not offer refunds.
If your licence stops working — the key will not activate, a machine slot is stuck, or you have lost the key — email us and we will sort it out. That side of it is ours, and we do not argue about it.
Faults in the app are a separate thing. Tell us and we will look at it, but we cannot promise a fix, or a date for one.
What we do not promise
Voxy turns speech into text using a model running on your own machine. It is very good and it is not perfect. It will get words wrong, particularly with an unfamiliar accent, background noise or specialist vocabulary. We do not promise any particular level of accuracy, and Voxy should not be relied on where a mistake would be serious without you reading the result first.
We do not promise that Voxy will run on hardware below the stated requirements.
Nothing on this page takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
If we get something wrong
If Voxy causes you a loss, our liability is limited to what you paid us for it. This limit does not apply to anything the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending it
You can stop using Voxy at any time. Uninstalling removes the app; your dictionary, phrases and stats live on your own machine and go with it.
We can revoke a licence that has been shared, resold or published, used with a modified copy of Voxy, or where a payment has been reversed. We will email you first.
Your information
What we hold, why, and how to make us delete it is set out on the privacy page. It is a short list.
Changes
If we change these terms we change them for future purchases. What you bought stays what you bought.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the EU, this does not take away the protection of your own country's consumer law.
