Uninstalling

Every file Voxy creates, so you can remove all of it.

Voxy has no installer and no background components, so removing it is mostly dragging one file to the Trash. This page lists the rest so nothing is left behind.

Remove the app

On macOS:

  1. Quit Voxy from the menu bar.
  2. Open Applications.
  3. Drag Voxy to the Trash.

    4. On Windows:

  4. Quit Voxy from the tray icon.
  5. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  6. Find Voxy and choose Uninstall.

    7. That is enough to stop it running. Everything below is optional tidying.

Remove your settings

Your vocabulary, phrases, styles, licence cache and usage stats live in one folder:

On macOS the folder is named Willow because that was the app's original name. Renaming it would have orphaned the settings of everyone already using Voxy.

To open it on macOS: in Finder press ⇧⌘G, paste the path, press Return. On Windows: press Win + R, paste the path, press Return.

Warning Deleting this folder removes your Vocabulary, Phrases and Styles permanently. If you might come back, copy it somewhere first.

Remove your licence key

Your key is kept by the operating system's own secret store, not in that folder — the Keychain on macOS, DPAPI on Windows.

Better than deleting it: open Settings → License and press Deactivate This Device before you uninstall. That frees your device slot on the licence server so another machine can use it.

If you have already removed the app: on macOS open Keychain Access, search for Voxy and delete the entry. On Windows the stored value is tied to the app and is orphaned once Voxy is gone; removing the settings folder above clears what is left.

Remove the speech models

Speech models are stored with the app's support files and go with the folder above.

Remove Ollama

Ollama is a separate program, only present if you used AI Refine. Voxy does not remove it, because other tools may be using it.

To remove it, follow Ollama's own uninstall instructions. Its models are large, so it is worth checking if you are reclaiming space.

Remove the login item

If you turned on Start Voxy at login, removing the app clears it. To check: on macOS, System Settings → General → Login Items; on Windows, Task Manager → Startup apps.
